Smith Ranch Kennels is located in
the center of 25 acres. The kennel building and exercise yard occupy
approximately 2 acres. The large exercise yard has trees, bushes and
grass with lots of space to run and play. Dogs are encouraged to spend
time outdoors stretching their legs and perhaps taking advantage of
the fire hydrant placed there just for their convenience.
We have 26 outdoor runs. 16 of these runs are 20' x 4' on concrete with cyclone fencing. Each run has an individual inside area for sleeping, eating or inclement weather. The building provides an 8' overhang offering plenty of shelter and shade from the sun or rain. 10 runs are 16' x 4' on concrete with cyclone fencing, each with its own access to an individual area inside the building. There are 18 kennels of varying sizes in the air-conditioned room which provides a cool retreat during the sweltering South Texas summer days or a cozy spot when one of those rare cold fronts arrive. Some of our air-conditioned spaces are 4' x 4' with a doggie door leading to another 4' x 4' area outside where dogs can get a breath of fresh air or enjoy a little sunshine. Other spaces in that room range in sizes appropriate for Chihuahuas to Great Danes.
Our facility is strictly a boarding kennel and we do not provide grooming services. Grooming requires special training and talent; here we are just experts at loving dogs. There are many qualified groomers in this area that would love to meet you and your dog.
